The Death TreeA granite grave is growing Unfurling to catch the sun, Its branches thin and filled with cork. The Death Tree
The universe cycles steadily Life and death become intertwined Two grounds blend into one.
There is a sign in the upper branches It reads You are here Below the fish are swimming, around a skeleton very near.
Covered though the stone is Stone is still the core. Stone is still at the core.

AgainI stepped on the wrong man I took a bad plan. I destroyed a forest in a single misbreath I'm driving myself forwards to an early death.Again
I've been shot in the face and
I try to move forwards but I get pushed back into my
place.

Yet Another MonsterThe herd grinds and scrapes Its many metal legs Across the roof of heaven.Yet Another Monster
Groaning, Grunting, All come to push and shove, Crowding each other at the pass Logs and leaves at the bend of a river.
They are shunted about, And rammed into one another by the hands Of their keepers and drivers, Men and women with lightening in their hands.
The ceiling trembles with Reverberating moans, The mice of earth raise their eyes
Watching for owls and hawks.
On the next level up One thousand steel-tipped hooves drum, ceaselessly.

Out of Time On TuesdayHaven't got the time today To sit around and chat.Out of Time On Tuesday
In town there is a gallows' man He is on my back.
I lost my watch to the dog. Telling time by the sun has stopped being good enough.
I wish I had a hammer, To work these nails I'd set up a palace With a hidden jail inside. I'd lure old man death in there, And save my sorry hide.
Then at least I'd have A few more years to run It wouldn't really matter If I had a clock or just the sun.
